The program in Cognitive/Computational Neuroscience (CCN) forms part of the newly created Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences (BCS) at Seoul National University (SNU). The CCN faculty includes Randolph Blake, Sang-Hun Lee and Marcus Kaiser who, together, are seeking to understand how neuronal/local circuit/global circuit-level brain mechanisms enable cognitive processes including perception, attention and decision making. These faculty members are seeking applications for Postdoctoral positions from talented, enthusiastic individuals who have received, within the last three years, the PhD in cognitive neuroscience or an allied discipline. Salary will will be indexed to stipends awarded by North American and European funding agencies. Postdoctoral fellows will have opportunities to spend research periods in the US (Vanderbilt University) and UK (Newcastle-upon-Tyne).
CCN laboratories are housed in newly constructed space on the main SNU campus. State-of-the-art equipment includes: a dedicated 3T human MRI (128-channel head coil, sMRI, fMRI, DTI, MRS etc), 128 channel high-density EEG system, and facilities for human psychophysics and eye movement studies. An overview of the entire Department and its faculty can be found at the BCS website (http://bcs.snu.ac.kr/). English is the official language of the BCS.
